On New Year's Eve 2016, while many people were celebrating the arrival of 2017, the Sarasota Police Department Motor Unit was helping with a special surprise.
In the video, inside the stopped car is Keagan. He's 16 and nearly a month ago he lost his father. Keagan's father was a motorcycle officer in Missouri. New Year's Eve would have been Keagan’s father’s birthday.
When the Sarasota Police Department Motor Unit learned Keagan was in Sarasota, they wanted to make his visit special. They also presented Keagan with his own Sarasota Police Department Motor Unit Challenge Coin.
