La candidata del PP a las elecciones locales de Marbella del 26 de mayo, Ángeles Muñoz, ha señalado que su formación presentará, si forma parte del Gobierno local, la candidatura para que el municipio sea Capital Española de la Gastronomía en 2020. Muñoz ha agregado que en el caso de que tengan un gobierno, empezarán a trabajar mano a mano con la propia organización para presentar la oferta y su programa.
La candidata popular a la alcaldía marbellí ha destacado que Marbella puede ofertar un estupendo Palacio de Congresos, una planta hotelera, ocio, cultura y deporte y, también, una gastronomía ideal con seis estrellas Michelín. Muñoz ha agregado también que fomentará aquellos sectores deportivos que tienen una especial repercusión en el turismo, como el del golf y el náutico.
